EfD Newsletter 2011-12-05

The United Nations Climate Change Conference is now in progress in Durban, South Africa. The EfD will arrange a side event for COP17 focusing on Climate Change Negotiations and Fairness on December 8. EfD members Martine Visser,Thomas Sterner and Mark Purdon are among the speakers, and so is the Swedish Minister of Environment. Below you will find the last month’s output from EfD, which includes not less than ten new peer reviewed papers, and four new discussion papers. You can read about the Environmental Valuation course that draws participants from around the world to Gothenburg, as well as the news item on REDD, an REDD, an interview with professor Claude Mung'ong'o who is heading the  Tanzania´s National REDD Task Force. Last but not least – don´t miss the new book "Fuel Taxes and the Poor",  authored by 35 renowned researchers and edited by Thomas Sterner.
